  • Alzheimer’s Disease Education and Referral Center

The Alzheimer's Disease Education and Referral (ADEAR) Center Web site will help you find current, comprehensive Alzheimer's disease (AD) information and resources from the National Institute on Aging (NIA).

  • Alzheimer’s Resource Room

The Alzheimer's Resource Room is where families, caregivers, and professionals can find information about The Alzheimer's Demonstration Program, including: where you can turn for support and assistance, and providing services to caregivers from the Administration on Aging

  • Alzheimer's Association

The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research.

  • Alzheimer's Research Forum

The Alzheimer Research Forum, founded in 1996, is the web's most dynamic scientific community dedicated to understanding Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. Access to the web site is free to all. Our editorial priorities are as diverse as the needs of the research community. The web site reports on the latest scientific findings, from basic research to clinical trials; creates and maintains public databases of essential research data and reagents, and produces discussion forums to promote debate, speed the dissemination of new ideas, and break down barriers across the numerous disciplines that can contribute to the global effort to cure Alzheimer's disease.

  • Alzheimer’s Disease Clinical Trials Database

The Alzheimer's Disease Clinical Trials Database is a joint project of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the National Institute on Aging (NIA) maintained by the NIA's Alzheimer's Disease Education and Referral (ADEAR) Center.

  • National Alzheimer’s Coordinating Center

The National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center (NACC) was established by the National Institute on Aging (U01 AG016976) in 1999 to facilitate collaborative research among the 29 NIA-funded Alzheimer's Disease Centers (ADCs) nationwide. NACC developed and maintains a large relational database of standardized clinical and neuropathological research data collected from each ADC, and this database provides a valuable resource for both exploratory and explanatory Alzheimer's disease research.

  • National Cell Repository for Alzheimer’s Disease

The National Institute on Aging (NIA), part of the United States Department of Health and Human Services, has recently launched a new effort to help researchers identify the genes that play a role in the development of Alzheimer’s disease. This national effort seeks to recruit 1,000 families with two or more living brothers or sisters who have been diagnosed with late onset Alzheimer’s disease. Through the participation of these families, scientific researchers will be able to obtain the critical information they need to help them identify the genes that increase the risk for late onset Alzheimer’s disease. The Alzheimer’s Association is working with the National Institute on Aging and study sites across the country to help refer families for this important study.
