What is the ASG?

The Alzheimer's Study Group is a taskforce of national leaders charged with creating an Alzheimer's National Strategic Plan to overcome the mounting Alzheimer's crisis. The ASG will assess the adequacy of the country's current efforts to combat Alzheimer's and recommend strategies to accelerate progress toward defeating this terrible disease.
  
 

Call for Recommendations

The Alzheimer's Study Group has now begun developing the content of the Alzheimer's National Strategic Plan, and requests your input. The ASG's plan will include policy recommendations and highlight noteworthy initiatives. To propose recommendations or initiatives for the ASG's consideration, please click on "Submit Recommendations" in the menu bar above. Thank you very much for your contributions.

The Alzheimer's Study Group is now in the report development phase of its work, and is requesting public input. Those interested are encouraged to propose both recommendations and noteworthy initiatives for potential inclusion in the ASG's National Alzheimer's Strategic Plan. The plan is scheduled for release in March, 2009.

ASG Releases "Source Document" and "Assessment"

Today, the ASG released the "Source Document for Thinking about Alzheimer's Disease."  During the July 30, 2008 meeting, the ASG commissioned the preparation of an Alzheimer's disease source document and foundational assessment to complement other indights gathered through interviews and literature reviews.
